Licensed Activities Directors provide daily programs to promote, maintain, and improve the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of our residents. Group and individual activity programs are designed to provide opportunities for each resident to succeed and build a sense of worth and dignity. Participation of family members and loved ones is encouraged.
Residents also have the ability to plan a special menu each month. Along with this, three healthy and appetizing meals are tailored to special dietary needs, and are prepared daily by our in-house cullinary experts. Tasty snacks are also served throughout the day and evening. All meals are evaluated regularly by our Registered Dietitian consultant to ensure they meet our high-quality standards in taste and nutrition.
Twin Pines offers a wide range of amenities for the convenience and enjoyment of our residents. Our beauty and bearber shop provides residents with professional salon-quality services while our chapel allows residents to participate in weekly religious services. Additionally, each resident can be issued an iPad, exclusively for the duration of their stay, which includes 70 popular apps for education, enrichment, and entertainment.
Our residents also benefit from our utilization of modern healthcare technology. Each resident hall is equipped with point-of-care wall kiosks that allow our nursing staff to actively maintain records for each of our residents without the need for paper charts. In addition, all medication carts are equipped with tablet computers which ensure each resident receives only his or her medications.
We proudly offer our residents a variety of clean, comfortable room plans, including fully private rooms as well as semi-private rooms. Each room comes furnished. In addition, residents have access to living rooms on each hall where they can enjoy time with friends and family in the same home-like atmosphere.
Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services help our residents recognize their potential for improvement. To facilitate this, we provide two state-of-the-art therapy gyms on site as well as a full size occupational therapy kitchen to help our residents preserve their independence in their activities of daily living.
Preserving the dignity and independence of our residents is a primary goal at each of our facilities. This is accomplished by a staff of caring nurses, who assist our residents with their daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing and eating. Additionally, our nursing staff works hand-in-hand with our other staff in developing and implementing a plan of care for each resident.
This coordinated team approach helps to ensure that each resident is given a personalized care plan to meet each resident's individual needs. Family members and loved ones are encouraged to participate in the care plan process and provide valuable input to the personalization of each plan.
